O'D works from their cabin she and her husband, Kenton

built in the Ozarks, with their two dachshunds to protect the

home front.  Where nature and wonderful country faces are

bountiful we never have a shortage of inspiration.

She began her formal art career in fashion design.  While

living in Italy she had the opportunity to begin creating fine

art in oil and pastels.  O'D has devoted time teaching art in

oils at all skill levels.  Her work  is represented in Europe and

the U.S. in numerous public and private collections.

"I believe all faces tell a story, and I like stories with simple living and hard working people, like the old traditions

and timeless values of the Wild West.  Maybe people nowadays have forgotten what life's really about.  I feel the desire

or responsibility to document these people before they're all gone and their stories are lost forever.  So, I paint and hope

people feel something honest and true when they see my paintings.  That maybe these images will inspire people to slow

down and reflect on the past."        Carolyn O'Donley Sherrill
